Just before Easter weekend kicked off, Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini hosted a knock-out night with a special screening of his documentary, “The Good Son.” The event took place at The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Linwood Dunn Theater in Los Angeles.  Many actors and some of the best in sports came out to see the advanced screening of the film, which explores Ray’s life and the aftermath from his controversial fight with Duk Koo Kim.

The brilliant documentary also features candid interviews from Ray’s friends including Oscar nominated actor, Mickey Rourke and Screen Actors Guild Winner Ed O’Neill from the hit show “Modern Family.”  The documentary recently joined with Snag Films and is preparing for the much anticipated theatrical release this summer 2013. Following the showing of the documentary, guests enjoyed drinks and decadent food while mingling with the life size Oscar statues at the venue.

Guests in attendance at the advanced Los Angeles screening included: Mickey Rourke (Oscar Nominated actor), Jackie Emerson (actress “Hunger Games”), Jesse James Miller, Cobi Jones – (3 time World Cup Soccer Player), Marta McGonagle – (actress “NCIS Los Angeles”), Jake Steinfeld – (Creator of “Body by Jake” workout empire), Mark Kriegel -  (author of “The Good Son” and NFL Network Commentator), Anthony Yerkovich – (producer and creator of the TV show “Miami Vice”), Bob Jennings (actor “General Hospital”), Frank Stallone (actor and musician).

“The Good Son” was directed by Jesse James Miller and executive produced by Christopher Tavlarides, Jimmy Lynn, Mark Kriegel, Aaron Cohen and Ray Mancini.
