Golden Boy Promotions held their press conference to officially announce their June 8th Showtime televised tripleheader at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. In the main event, Marcos Maidana (33-3, 30KOs) will face Josesito Lopez (30-5, 18KOs). Junior middleweights Alfredo Angulo (22-2, 18KOs) and Erislandy Lara (17-1-2, 11KOs) will collide in the co-feature, and Jermell Charlos (20-0, 10KOs) faces Demetrius Hopkins (33-2-1, 13KOs) in a fight scheduled for 154-pounds. I got Lopez by decision in this fight. Even though Maidana is tough and durable as nails, he is not as nearly as quick, strong or big as Saul Alvarez; A Jr. middleweight (154 LBS). He's more a face first…
