Photos: Lucian Bute Beats Magee: Vanes, Cote Win Too

IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute (28-0, 23 KOs) stopped Brian Magee (34-4-1, 24 KOs) in the tenth round of their championship bout at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. Magee went down in rounds six and seven from power shots to the body and went down again, and this time for good, in the tenth from an uppercut to jaw.

Junior middleweight Vanes Martirosyan (29-0, 18KOs) knocked Bladimir Hernandez (18-5, 16KOs) out in two rounds of action.

Junior welterweight Pier Olivier Cote (15-0, 10KO) crushed Michael Lozada (37-8-1, 30KOs) in the first round after dropping him three times. The three knockdown rule was in effect.
