WBO featherweight champion Orlando Salido (40-12-2, 28KOs), and undefeated prospect Vasyl Lomachenko (1-0, 1KO) went face to face at Saturday's post-fight press conference at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Salido knocked out Orlando Cruz in seven rounds to capture the vacant WBO featherweight crown. Lomachenko made his pro debut and scored a fourth round knockout of veteran Jose Ramirez. Top Rank's Bob Arum wants to match Salido and Lomachenko on January 25th at the Theater in New York's Madison Square Garden. Lomachenko, a two-time Olympic gold medal winner, will attempt to win a world title in his second pro fight.

Lomo got this, Salido is going to be befuddled by his skill.

Lo beating Salido is one thing, beating Mikey Garcia is another. Even the Salido fight is a tough fight though Salido is on the latter half of his career. Garcia imo should move up to 130 before he is weakened trying to make 126.
If Lomo beats Salido so early in his career, he's the man. But if "Siri" tears his ass up, I'll be upset these geniuses put Vasyl in with a killer in only his second true pro fight. This is a real risky, unnecessary move that has backfire written all over it.
...
