Photos: Koki Kameda Getting Tough Sparring in Manila

By Ruben Casanova

The WBA world bantamnweight champion Koki Kameda has shifted his training camp in Manila, where the Japanese boxer is sharing the ring with tough local sparring partners. The formidable lefty Kameda defends his world championship against undefeated Mexican David de la Mora, on the 31st of August at the Nippon Budokan Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

Three time world champion looked strong and fast in his training.

"I'm boxing with fighters who are heavier than me. I want to get in great shape for the second defense of my crown," said the Japanese star.

The 118-pound champion is training in the Elorde Gym. Kameda has 25 victories, 16 by knockout and a sole setback. While David de la Mora has 23 wins, 16 by knockout, and no defeats.
