Photos: Kevin Mitchell, Burns, Bellew, Gavin Win Bouts

Previously undefeated John Murray gets shocked by Kevin Mitchell at the Echo Arena in Liverpool. Mitchell returned after a 14-month layoff and wore Murray down and knocked him out in the eight round.

Ricky Burns of Scotland stopped Nicky Cook of Britain in first round of the championship bout. Cook suffered a freak back injury and because of that he was knocked down three times and his corner threw in the towel. Burns retained his WBO super featherweight title.

Tony Bellew won a twelve round decision over Ovill McKenzie to retain his Commonwealth light heavyweight title and won the vacant British light heavyweight title.

Frankie Gavin won a twelve round split decision over Curtis Woodhouse in their WBO intercontinental welterweight championship bout.

[QUOTE=Adam Konitz;10852287]Cook has a legit sciatic nerve issue. His only crime was trying to fight with it - fighting's his livelihood, though, so I can't blame him for trying. In fact, he showed a lot of balls in trying to…
