Photos: Kessler, Stieglitz Go Face To Face in Berlin

By Wilhelm Springer, box-info.net

Team Sauerland and SES Boxing held a press conference in Berlin to officially announce the anticipated fight between WBO super middleweight champion Robert Stieglitz (40-2, 23KOs), and three-time world champion Mikkel Kessler (44-2, 33KOs), which is going to take place at Copenhagen´s PARKEN Stadium on November 5. For Stieglitz it's the fifth defense of belt he's been carrying since 2009, and Kessler gets a chance to win another belt within his division. Kessler is a former WBC and WBA champion.
The German is a stiff on the inside, that title is as good as gone.
I don't know, Kess was a statue vs. Ward so lets just see who shows up this time.
He is not slick. He's a tough cookie who works hard and he carries a decent pop.
His face healed well then. Havn't seen him fight.

The winner of this fight should face Lucian Bute for the right to meet Andre Ward later on down the line. (assuming of course that Bute beats Glen Johnson and that Ward beats Froch)
Cool. Thanks. The German has an impressive record, I hope this is a good fight. I think the Stieglitz looks a little green and baby faced. Maybe he is slick and can give Kess some problems and we see…
