Photos: The Kameda Brothers Invade The Philippines

by Miguel Rivera

The Kameda brothers, comprised of Koki, Daiki and Tomoki, are training on Philippine soil as part of their preparation for a scheduled tripleheader on December 7 in Osaka, Japan. Ten days of tough sparring at the Elorde gym for their set commitments against Mexican opponents. Mario "Hurricane" Macias and Eduardo "Bambino" Garcia, will do their best to upset the pace of Koki and Tomoki, respectively. Koki makes the third defense of the WBA World Bantamweight (WBA) title. And Tomoki, the youngest and undefeated brother, will take part in another ten round fight.

Mario Macias, Koki's rival, has 23 professional win (11 ko's) with 11 setbacks. While Eduardo Garcia, Tomoki's opponent, has an impressive record of 21 wins (9 KO's), 6 defeats, and a draw.

Daiki Kameda is looking to position himself for a shot at the WBA super flyweight champion. Until November 12, the Kameda brothers will remain in Manila, and then returning immediately to Japanese territory to complete their respective preparations and be ready to in Osaka.
