Photos: Juan Manuel Marquez Mobbed in Cancun Return

By Rafael Soto

Cancun, Q. Roo - A lot of local media, national and international were waiting for the arrival of triple world champion Juan Manuel Marquez, who this Saturday, at the Plaza de Toros in Cancun, faces Colombia's Likar Ramos, and the fight will headline the function called "Dynamite, which Zanfer is promoting with support from the government of Quintana Roo.

Accompanied by his team, led by experienced trainer Ignacio Beristain, 'Juanma' arrived in very good spirits, handing out autographs to people who asked for it and he took the time to take photos with them.

"I am very happy to be here. I feel a lot of emotion to get such a reception. I just arrived and the people greeted me and wished me luck for my fight on Saturday and my commitment to them is to walk out with my fist raised," said the current lightweight champion of the WBA and WBO.

"We had an excellent preparation for this fight for us. This is not a minor opponent. On the contrary, we respect every opponent, but the fact is that respect in the ring stays on one side and then we see who's better," he said.

As for a comeback in national territory, and to share acard with his brother Rafael after nearly five years, Juan Maniel mentioned that this provides some extra motivation for him.

"It's a double motivation for this fight. To fight in my country will always make me proud, and it is great that my brother will fight on the undercard. I'll arrive excited, and ready to give the fans a great victory for this warm reception," said Marquez.

If Marquez loses his next fight, does the Pacquiao fight get cancelled? If so, Marquez should jump straight to the Pac fight
