Photos: Juan Manuel Marquez, Jorge Arce Honored in PR

CAROLINA, PUERTO RICO - On Friday, the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and its president Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel paid tribute to Mexican world champions Juan Manuel Marquez and Jorge "Travieso" Arce, in which the fighters were presented with special rings for their achievements. The ceremony took place during the weigh-in for the rematch between featherweights Orlando Salido and Juan Manuel Lopez. Photos by Jose Perez/PRBBP

"We are honoring the careers of these fighters, Marquez, one of the best Mexican champions and Arce, one of the great champions of Mexico," said Valcárcel. "Marquez is our super champion at lightweight and we deliver this ring, while Arce became the first Mexican to win titles in five different weights."

Marquez (56-3-1, 39 KOs) is expected to fight for the interim WBO junior welterweight title on April 14 against Argentina's Cesar Rene Cuenca.
