Mexico City. - The best Mexican boxer is the sport, and considered by many as one of the world's best pound for pound bxoers, Juan Manuel Marquez, held an open workout on Tuesday, as he continued to work hard for his upcoming commitment on Saturday night when he returns to Mexico City, where he hasn't fought for 18 years. Marquez (53-6-1, 39 KOs) will face Ukrainian Sergey Fedchenko (30-1-0, 13 KOs) for the interim-junior welterweight world championships of the World Boxing Organization (WBO). TV Azteca and HBO/Top Rank pay-per-view will televise.

Marquez looks really determined easy win on Saturday on home turf if manny can get his balls back from michael konscz maybe ther can be a fourth meeting to settle the score once and for all.

On ESPN Deportes Golpe A Golpe show JMM said he was 2 pounds over the limit a week ago. I think he should be at weight this Friday. WARQUEZ!! :boxing:

Marquez camp just made it oficial Marquez will be at 138 or at 137 lbs this Friday for the weight in!!! This is how over weight he is, and as far as aging, well why not he is going to be almost 40 yrs old and he is still kicking young punks asses like Pacquiao, Katidies, Diaz and this new challen...

Anyone seen much of Fedchenko? I see from his record he isnt a banger and he has said that he intends to box Marquez so Im wondering if we are going to see a repeat of the Gainer fight. Marquez has slow feet now and will struggle to cut the ring off like he did that night. Floyd elected t out...
