Photos: Jose Pedraza Training Tough For ShoBox Bout

San Juan, Puerto Rico - Last night José "Sniper" Pedraza (4-0, 3KO's), completed his first stage of training in preparation for his six-round bout against Ecuadorian John Wampash. He leaves today at 12:30 pm, to El Paso, Texas. Pedraza has been training at the Olympic Lodge in Salinas, Puerto Rico. Pedraza will be part of a Showtime televised card as part of their ShoBox series. The star of this card, Austin Trout (23-0, 13 KOs), defends his WBA "regular" title against Frank LoPorto (15-4-2, 7 KOs).

"I am leaving Puerto Rico well-prepared with more than 70 rounds of sparring with excellent fighters. I know I'm in excellent shape for this fight and I hope to show some of the changes that I've made in the gym. I know I will achieve victory for Puerto Rico," said Pedraza, a boxer promoted by Universal Promotions, DiBella Entertainment and Gary Shaw Productions.
