Photos: Jose Pedraza, Kenny Galarza Double For Feb. 24

SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO-  Universal Promotions, through its president Javier Bustillo, is pleased to announce the first boxing card in 2012. This card will be held Friday, February 24 at the Salvador Dijols Coliseum in Ponce, PR.

The event card, called "Pa Bravo Yo" will be headlined by the World Boxing Council’s, World Youth Champion at 130 pounds, Jose "Sniper" Pedraza (6-0, 5KO’s). The power puncher Kenny Galarza (15-2, 14KO's), considered by experts as one of the most dangerous fighters at 140 lbs, will be co headlining the card. Their opponents will be announced soon.

"We bring this great event to Ponce since Universal Promotions has a serious commitment to provide all the corners of our beautiful Island with high quality professional boxing. This card is the ideal way to begin a year of many blessings for our Puerto Rico, " said promoter Javier Bustillo, president of Universal Promotions.

"Ponce and other towns bordering it will be part of this great event which we bring to the south of our beautiful Island. In addition to the fights we will have music and a great family atmosphere. We encourage the support of everyone, because this will be a great way to start the year in Puerto Rico. It’s an event not to be missed, "said Manuel Roman, vice president of Universal Promotions.

Meanwhile, José Pedraza, who is originally from Cidra, said he is "anxious to get to fight night to defend my world title, in front of my people. I have been training for a long time this and it’s a great opportunity to show my ability. "

Olympian, Jose "Sniper" Pedraza (6-0, 4KO's), was recently chosen by ESPN Sports as one of the top 25 prospects in the world.

As for the Kenny Galarza fight, he said that "I’m well prepared and I plan to go out with the win, in front of my people. Recently I had a setback but I will show that I have a lot of boxing left in my career and that I will work hard to become a world champion. "

In this great card will also be active the furious puncher at the lightweight limit and essential part of Team Puerto Rico Boxing, Jorge "Machito" Maysonet (5-0, 4KO's), in his sixth professional fight. "I've been training a long time and I'm ready for the challenge," said Maysonet.

This event will also feature "The Pride of Ponce" Josean Serra (7-0, 5KO's), at 108 pounds; Hector "Jovany" Rosario (7-1-2, 5KO's), at 154 pounds; Carlos "Kid" Narvaez (3-0, 3KO's), at 115 pounds; Joshua "Macho" Santiago (6-0, 5KO's), at 140 pounds; Edgar Laboy (1-0, 1KO), at 124 pounds and debutant Moises Velez, at 130 pounds.

This card will air live on Puerto Rico TV Sports Network (6.2 and 3.1) and retransmitted on a later date by the Puerto Rico TV, the (6.1). In addition, the card will be broadcasted in "real time" by Puerto Rico TV website (http://www.tutv.puertorico.pr/01_24.htm).

Dos anyone have a link to Galarza last fight and Thomas Dulormes last fight in Panama? Cant find em anywhere! They both fought on the same card.
