SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO - Javier Bustillo, Gary Shaw and Lou DiBella is pleased to announce the signing of the best professional prospect in the history of Puerto Rican amateur boxing, José Pedraza.
Pedraza, during the last Olympic cycle, campaigned at 132 lbs. In addition, captured bronze in the Pan American Games Brazil 2007, won a silver medal at the championships in Milan in 2009 and a gold medal in Mayaguez in 2010 at the Central American Games.
"This is without doubt one of the greatest achievements of Universal Promotions. We are very excited by the addition of Pedraza to the top of the company. I'm sure that in the course of his career he will give great glory to Puerto Rico," said promoter Javier Bustillo, president of Universal Promotions.
