Guaynabo, P.R. - In addition to granting the main event role to valued prospect Jose 'Wonder Boy' Lopez, the March 29 card at the Cosme Beitia Salamo Coliseum in Cataño will also showcase other great prospects from Miguel Cotto Promotions as part of the ‘Boxeo Boricua’ series that WAPA 2 Deportes will present live.

Lopez, 11-0 with nine knockouts, will be fighting in an eight rounds bout against veteran Leivi Brea (19-10-03 and ten KOs) from Conztanza, Dominican Republic. The Lopez vs. Brea fight will be for the vacant FECARBOX featherweight title of the World Boxing Council (WBC).

“I’m ready for the big challenges. I’m focused and training hard. It will be a great pleasure for me to fight for the FECARBOX title of the WBC. It’s all a dream to me”, said the ‘Wonder Boy’ José Lopez.

The veteran fighter from the Dominican Republic said he was ready for a great fight and promised to win for his country.

“I’m well prepared for this fight. We have seen Jose Lopez fight and we know his style. Come Saturday I’m going to take that belt to my country”, commented Levi Brea

“This will be a good fight for Jose Lopez. He will face a veteran that has fought against big names. If Jose wins, we have big plans for him. He’s a very disciplined young man with great abilities”, mentioned promoter and vice president Hector Soto.

‘Boxeo Boricua: WAPA 2 Deportes’ is presented by Miguel Cotto Promotions in association with H2 Entertainment and Top Rank. It will be broadcasted live on WAPA 2 Deportes at 10:30pm.
