Photos: Jean Pascal Sends Message To Adonis Stevenson

Former champion Jean Pascal is continuing to apply pressure on countryman Adonis Stevenson, the WBC light heavyweight champion, for an all-Canadian showdown. With IBF/WBA champion Bernard Hopkins signing a contract to face WBO king Sergey Kovalev on November 8th, Pascal has emerged as the most lucrative fight option for Stevenson.

Pascal showed up at Friday's Fast & Dangerous card, which was staged by Stevenson's promoter Yvon Michel (GYM) and InterBox, at the Sports Complex Sportscene of Mont-Saint-Hilaire (QC). Photos by Robert Levesque/Photo Zone Sport.

Before the packed crowd of local fans, Pascal was wearing his "Superman" shirt - a direct message to Stevenson, who uses the moniker of Superman.

Considering risk/reward, I can't think of a better opponent right now for Stevenson than Pascal.

If this fight happens it's a major blow to Pascal's ego. "He ran from Kovalev and Hopkins but he'll fight me?" It would just leave him questioning his own manhood if Stevenson wasn't afraid of him.
