Dr. Pepper Arena, Frisco, Texas - Junior middleweight contender James Kirkland (28-1, 25 KOs) stopped Dennis Sharpe (17-8-3, 4 KOs) in the first round. Sharpe went down twice. Photos by Stacey Verbeek.

Middleweight Brian Vera (19-5, 12 KOs) stopped Eloy Suarez (11-12-1, 5 KOs) in the eight round.

yeah it's nice to see them back together. james should also stay at 154 where his power is more devastating. i hope my boy andy lee gets vera next, to get rid of that blemish.
