Photos: Ivan Calderon's 7-Day Weigh-in For Segura

GUAYNABO, PUERTO RICO – Ivan "Iron Boy" Calderon is at weight for his upcoming bout against World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior flyweight champion Giovani Segura in the card "The Revenge" to be held at the Auditorio del Estado in Mexicali, Baja California, México, on April 2nd in a PR Best Boxing Promotions and Promociones Zanfer, Pay Per View presentation. Calderón (34-1-1, 6KOs) weighed in at 108 of 113.4 (5% over) max, showing great mood and good body definition.

“I'm in camp with one of my trainers (Felix Pagan Pintor), who made my meals and is taking care of all of my issues. It's great, I feel much better for this fight, I'm feeling strong, fast and without that eating anxiety", Calderon, 36, said. “I'm in the best shape of my life after all of the work we made. On Thursday I made the 108 weight limit and again today".

The former 105 and 108 pounds World Champion will travel tomorrow to Mexico in a long journey, from Puerto Rico to New York, to Los Angeles, and then to San Diego. From San Diego, he will go by car to Mexicali.

Calderon is looking to dethrone Segura (26-1-1, 22 knockouts), who on August 28, 2010, stripped him of the 108 WBO title with an eight round TKO victory.

WTF is up with all of the haters? What exactly has Calderon done except fight the best guys in his division and at a point in his career when most other fighters wouldn't be giving a young guy like Segura…

Segura is going to be even more confident, he really had Calderon helpless in that first fight. Calderon has one hell of an uphill battle here.

The same way I criticized Rafa Marquez I'll criticize Ivan Calderon. If there's something that gets under my skin is when fighters give bs excuses after a loss. Remember an interview of Rafa a day prior to the fight w/…

This fight will end on a Calderon cut, his skin has changed now he's older. Showing some wounds. If he's going to move as quick as he claims then this just maximises the chances of a clash of heads.
