Photos: Helenius Edges Chisora, Povetkin Clocks Boswell

Hartwall Arena, Helsinki, Finland - Robert “The Nordic Nightmare” Helenius (17-0, 11 KOs) won a controversial twelve round split decision over Dereck “Del Boy” Chisora (15-2, 9 KOs) to win the vacant European heavyweight title. Two cards of 115-113 for Helenius and 115-113 for Chisora.

In the co-headliner, WBA "regular" heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin (23-0, 15 KOs) looked very good, with a dominating eighth round knockout over veteran Cedric Boswell (35-2, 26 KOs). A combination of punches put Boswell down and out at the end of the eight.
