Photos: Frampton-Molitor, McCloskey-Perez Weigh-In

Carl Frampton and Steve Molitor have weighed-in for Saturday night’s Betfair ‘Judgement Day’ show and The Jackal has warned The Canadian Kid he will retire him live on Sky Sports.

Frampton defends his Commonwealth and IBF Inter-Continental super bantamweight titles against the two-time World champion at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast and the local boy is promising to put on a big show in his hometown, and ending Molitor’s glittering career in the process.

“If he beats me it’s a setback but if I beat him it could send him into retirement,” said Frampton, 2-7 to win with Betfair. “He said yesterday that he would think about hanging them up if he lost, and I intend to beat him and do it in style – I know I can knock him out.

“You saw today with that turnout for the weigh-in that this is a special night and the buzz in the city is incredible. When you have that sort of support behind you in a great venue like the Odyssey Arena, you cannot let them down and it lifts you so high.”

Molitor is an 11-4 shot with Betfair to take the titles back to Canada and he came in lighter than Frampton at 8st 9lb 4oz, with the hometown star tipping the scales at 8st 9lb 10oz.

Frampton tops a fantastic night of action in Belfast with Paul McCloskey is aiming to get back into title contention against American contender Manuel Perez with the WBA Inter-Continental light welterweight title and McCloskey’s fellow Dungiven fighter Eamonn O’Kane also in action.

Martin Lindsay challenges Lee Selby for the Welshman’s British and Commonwealth featherweight titles while fellow Belfast fighters Jamie Conlan and Dee Walsh will also be in action, and Team GB stars Scotty Cardle, Kal Yafai and Martin Ward all continue their pro education in Belfast.

Tickets are on sale from the Odyssey Arena box office on 028 9073 9074 and at www.odysseyarena.com – tickets are priced at £30, £40, £60 and £100. Ringside VIPs tickets priced at £150 are exclusively available from Matchroom Sport on 01277 359900 and at www.matchroomboxing.com .

This bout is starting to look pretty inviting to me. These guys don't seem to care for each other.
