Photos: Erik Morales Ready, Training For Cano Clash

By Miguel Rivera

He appears to be in excellent physical condition. The former three-time world champion Erik "Terrible" Morales is ready to his Las Vegas, where on Saturday he will face Pablo Cesar Cano for the vacant junior welterweight championship of the World Boxing Council (WBC). After leaving the Otomi Ceremonial Center in Temoaya, Morales made a stop in his native Tijuana, where he took part in a light workout under the supervision of his father and coach Jose "Olivaritos" Morales.

Smiling and full of humor, the pride of Tijuana is ready for "Homewrecker" Cano, who has an undefeated record of 22 wins and 17 of them by knockout. Most of Cano's knockouts have come in the first round.

[QUOTE=chiguy91;11126580]damn, he looks in good shape. perhaps better than in the maidana bout. sucks he's fighting a nobody and getting handed a belt, guy like him should have somewhat of a challenge. it is what it is, hopefully he fights…

This Cano kid might be young but he can fight and he has good power. Don't be surprised if you see an upset.
