Puerto Rico's Thomas Dulorme (20-1, 14 KOs), who is campaigning at 140 pounds, has just started his training in Oxnard, California, under the command of coach Robert Garcia. Dulorme says promoter Gary Shaw is going to book him a fight in the month of April.
"I needed to see a change in my workouts, learn new things, but I want to make it clear that José Bonilla will always be on my team because I am very grateful for what he has done in my career as a mentor and a coach," said Dulorme.
"Garcia has a lot of experience. I will be like a sponge learning from sparring and tactics, and hoping that it will be very beneficial for my development."
"In the short time he's been here, Dulorme has adapted very quickly because he want to be here in the gym," said Garcia.
Dulorme is also negotiating to retain the services of strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza.
"Ariza and Garcia are a great compliment, a great team and I am in the process of choosing a [strength and conditioning] trainer to fill my expectations," said Dulorme.
I'm not even sure how long they've been working together. However better Marcos has gotten, the change isn't especially remarkable. It can even be argued that Maidana is simply maturing a a fighter. I wouldn't go as far as to…Comment by Da Boxer on 02-07-2014
Dont like this match up for Dulorme. Garcia has a hidden agenda, and its vastly overated! Bad decision. Posted from Boxingscene.com App for AndroidComment by LouIE G on 02-07-2014
Those are some nice picks. But Mattysse won more than three rounds in that fight. (That, of course, is open to debate.) And ring generalship is a very small component of scoring. (This is not.)
4 at the most for…Post a Comment - View More User Comments (41)
