Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - The weights are in for tomorrow night. WBC/WBO bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel (44-2-2, 34KOs) stepped on scale, ripped and ready, and was 118-pounds on the nose. In the HBO televised co-feature, welterweight Jesus Soto-Karass (24-5, 16KOs) was 146-pounds, while undefeated Mike Jones (23-0, 18KOs) was 147 at the limit.

Montiel tries to come in and Donaire shoots a left uppercut up through the gloves and drops the Mexican fighter on his bottom sometime before the 4th.

This is Montiel's most impressive win in his career. There was a second left when the ref stopped the fight where Montiel was gettng outboxed. I thought the ref stopped it prematurely. All things observed, I doubt he'll be able…
