Frederikshavn, Denmark - James DeGale (12-1, 9 KOs) defended his EBU super middleweight title for the first time, with a fourth round stoppage of mandatory challenger Cristian Sanavia (45-6-1, 13 KOs). In round four, DeGale dropped Sanavia four times before the fight was stopped. Photos by Photo Wende.
Rising Danish star Patrick Nielsen (14-0, 8 KOs) knocked out Gaston Vega (17-5, 6 KOs) in the tenth round to capture the WBA Intercontinental middleweight title. In the eight round, the two boxers traded knockdowns - but in the tenth Nielsen finished Vega off with two monster lefts.
In a very tough battle, Andreas Evensen (16-2-1, 6 KOs) captured the vacant WBA Intercontinental featherweight title with a twelve round majority decision over Willie Casey (13-2, 9 KOs). The scores were 115-113, 115-113 for Evensen, and 114-114 for the draw.

Yeah it looked that way. Evensen was taken to the hospital afterwards and fortunately there was no major damage. |
