Photos: Danny Jacobs Downs Fletcher To Reach Title Goal

Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York - In a fight for the vacant WBA 'regular' middleweight title, Daniel Jacobs (28-1, 25KOs) stopped Jarrod Fletcher (18-2, 10KOs) in the fifth round. An exchange of punches in the first round saw Fletcher get decked in the second minute. Feltcher made it up and took a beating until the close of the round. Fletcher, although still losing, was able to regroup in the second round. Feltcher was rocked again in the fourth, but fought his way out of trouble. During the fifth, Fletcher was doing well but then he was hurt bad and battered against the ropes until the referee jumped in as Fletcher went down again. Photos by Ed Mulholand.
That's the thing, is Jacobs now the mandatory for GGG? If not, then what's the point? It just allows more people to duck fighting him in the long run.
He will have 18 months and a mandatory to face before…
The belt was created so Fletcher would be fighting for a title as he was mandatory and the GGG fight with Geale coukd go ahead,I have no bother with that,we got to see the better match up.imagine we had to…
