Photos: Damien Vasquez Closes Camp For Second Bout

Exclusive photos from Johnny Tocco’s Boxing Gym in Las Vegas, Nevada as standout amateur talented and budding flyweight prospect Damien ‘Sugar’ Vasquez (1-0, 1 KO) closes out camp ahead of his second professional bout in Mexico City on the card of Roberto “Massa” Ortiz vs. Reyes Sanchez

The 16-year old Vasquez, a multiple national amateur champion, began create a serious buzz in the city last year after his work in the gyms around town, often going heads up with far more experienced professionals during sparring.

After training out of his older brother Israel’s Magnifico Boxing Gym in South Gate, Calif., for his debut, Vasquez returned to Las Vegas this time around.

Israel serves as Damien’s head trainer, having spent a good portion of his time with him this camp, and he will also be present in Tijuana this coming weekend.
