By Reynaldo Sanchez

Dominican featherweight Claudio “The Matrix” Marrero has increased his workouts at the Iron Mike Productions Gym in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Marrero trains for his upcoming fight against Argentinean Jesus Andres Cuellar, taking place on August 23rd for the WBA interim-world title. The boxer is working with head coach German Caicedo, supervisor Micky Ward and assistant Claudio Lamothe.

"Marrero is a disciplined athlete and performed his routines, focused on his goal. He is a great athlete and show dedication in the gym," Ward said.

"The first time I saw Claudio Marrero, he really impressed me and now I’m happy becausewe assured him that he will be a world champion someday. That dream is very close, and I think on August 23rd we will see the rise of a big star," said Henry Rivalta, COO of Iron Mike Productions.
