Photos: Chris John Arrives in Australia To Start Camp

WBA Super World Featherweight Champion Chris “The Dragon” John has arrived into Perth, Australia for preparation at Harry’s Gym in Balcatta, Australia ahead of his next title defense. Photos by Tony Tolj.

John will be returning to the ring for the first time since his 18th World featherweight title defense against Satoshi “Bazooka” Hosono in April 14 of this year. The bout ended seemingly as soon as it began, as the two fought to a technical draw after just three rounds. A flagrant series of head butts by the Japanese native left the unbeaten defending champion with a nasty cut over his right eye, at which point the bout was stopped by referee Rafael Ramos and resulted in over 30 stitches.

Details of The Dragon’s upcoming title defense are expected to be announced shortly.

No one cares about Chris John. I won't care until he fights one of these names, Gonzalez, mares, nonito, salido, juanma.

I always wondered what Chris John looked like. Nice to see him leave Indonesia.

[QUOTE=bigcursedawg;13894536]I've watched the fight several times. Anywhere else besides Indonesia Marquez would've won that fight. The only thing that made that fight close was the two bull**** point deductions. Marquez was pressing the action throwing and landing more. John was…
