Photos: Burns Saved, Controversial Draw With Beltran

GLASGOW, Scotland — Ricky Burns suffered a broken jaw and was knocked down hard by Raymundo Beltran, but mananged to keep his WBO lightweight title after a controversial draw on Saturday. Burns never looked like he was winning his fourth defense, and even he and his hometown fans were surprised when the result was announced. One judge gave it to Burns 115-112, another ruled Beltran won by 115-113, and the last scored it 114-114.

The more aggressive Beltran appeared to dislocate Burns' jaw in the second round and floored the Scot with a left hook in the eighth. The first draw in the pro career of each fighter left their records at 36-2-1 for Burns, and 28-6-1 for Beltran.
