Photos: Braehmer Badly Batters Maccarinelli's Right Eye

Stadthalle, Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany - WBA "regular" light heavyweight champion Juergen Braehmer stopped former WBO cruiserweight champion Enzo Maccarinelli in five rounds after a hard left hand in an earlier round would create the starting point of the damage, which eventually shut Ezno's right eye shut. As a result, Braehmer got another TKO win in the fifth round and is now 43-2, with 32 KOs, while the Welshman falls down to 38-7, 30 KOs, with all of his losses coming by way of stoppage.

I thought Enzo fought quite well, especially after his eye ballooned up! Nasty looking injury! I haven't seen Braehmer fight that much and wasn't overly impressed if I'm honest. That said Enzo isn't exactly Mr Reliable but you can't question…
The damage came from a punch. How was it embarrasing by Brähmer?
It was embarrassing when they cherry picked Maccarinelli. And that's before we get into his pathetic "performance"
Maccarinelli looked like a skeleton at the weigh-in and your chin doesn't get better when you move down in weight :lol1:
But the bigger men at cruiserweight generally punch harder. It's usually easier to take a light heavyweight punch…
