Photos: Arreola, Stiverne Face To Face at Final Presser

Ontario, CA - Earlier today WBC #1 World Contender Chris Arreola (35-2, 30 KOs) and WBC #2 world contender Bermane Stiverne met for their final press conference. Photos by Joe Miranda.

This Saturday, April 27, Arreola will challenge the heavy-hitting WBC #2 
World Contender Bermane "B.Ware" Stiverne (22-1-1, 20 KOs) in a 12-round WBC World Championship Heavyweight Elimination bout with the winner guaranteed to fight for the World Championship in his next bout.  

Here's what they had to say:

Bermane Stiverne:  "A few days away from the fight.  I don't really have much to say except if anyone cut me with a knife to see what's inside of me they would see that I'm not here to knock Chris out.  I am here to chop his head off.  That's what we do where I came from.  You don't break my will.  I can't wait for Saturday night.  This is serious.  Before you beat me or knock me out you will have to kill me.  Your people can talk for you but they can't fight for you".

Chris Arreola:  "In case you didn't know... I'm a crazy guy. I like that you want to come cut my head off.  That's what boxing is about.  This is a fight!  You telling me you're gonna chop my head off buts a fire in my belly.  I'm going to f**k you up.  I'm going to box circles around you.  I have no bad feeling for you [Stiverne] but I am going to knock you out.  I want both of us to come home to our families. Although,you [Stiverne] may go home a little sad and dejected.  I'll send you [Stiverne] a fruit basket.

Doors open at Citizens Business Bank Arena at 2:30 p.m for this special HBO "Boxing Before Dark" event. The first bout starts at 3:00 p.m. with the scheduled 12-round bout between Arreola-Stiverne to begin at 5:30 p.m.

Arreola by knockout. Arreola is a warrior and can take a good shot, Stiverne cant. But who knows? Stiverne has some serious punching power! But i still think Arreola wins.

I got Arreola in this by KO I usually don't watch HW but when Arreola fights I tune in.

I could see this being a close fight if Stiverne boxes well and can keep Arreola at a distance.
