Photos: Anton Novikov, Slava Voynov Meet at Wild Card

Hollywood, Ca. ----  Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles King's star defenseman Slava Voynov (L) visits undefeated contender and fellow countryman Anton Novikov (R) as he trains at Hall of Famer Freddie Roach's Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood,Ca. for his upcoming world title fight. Novikov will be challenging undefeated WBA super lightweight champion Jessie Vargas, the "Pride of Las Vegas" , Saturday, August 2 in the Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Both Voynov and Novikov, hail from Chelyabinsk,Russia.  Vargas vs Novikov will be televised on HBO Boxing After Dark®, along with the 10-round welterweight main event featuring former world lightweight champion and pound-for-pound all-action fighter Brandon " Bam Bam" Rios of Oxnard, Calif., making his eagerly-anticipated 2014 debut, against one-time interim world champion Diego Chaves of Buenos Aires.
