Photos: Andrew Golota Starts Sparring For Saleta

Former four-time heavyweight world title challenger Andrew Golota (41-8-1, 33 KOs) started sparring for his scheduled return to the ring on February 23rd at Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland. Golota will face his countryman and former European champion Przemyslaw Saleta (43-7, 21 KOs), who also had competed as a kickboxer, MMA and K-1 fighter. It’s going to be a farewell fight for the two 45-year old Polish veterans. Golota went five rounds with Adrian Ochnicki.

Golota has been inactive since his 5th round TKO loss to Tomasz Adamek in October of 2009. Saleta’s last boxing fight took place in February of 2006 when he beat an inexperienced American Ed Perry by unanimous decision.

I didn't see his fight against adamek but I remember him fighting in the 90's he had a promising career but he just couldn't stop punching Riddick bowe in the nuts not to mention the intentional headbutts he could've had…
