GUAYNABO, PUERTO RICO - In what promises to be one of the most exciting fights of 2011, the WBA's FEDECARIBE champion at 135 pounds, Fernando Torres (17-1-1, 10KO's), and undefeated Fedecarbox champion of the World Boxing Council at 135 pounds, Abner Cotto (11-0, 5KO's), will collide this Friday, October 28th at the Convention Center. The show will be staged by Universal Promotions in association with Miguel Cotto Promotions and H2 Entertainment. This fight will be a 10 round bout.

"We trained hard to make a smart fight, and to win the fight round by round and look good. I'm focused on beating Abner and going for the world title in the future. I had a small setback in my career but this is my opportunity and I will take it. I hope that Abner come ready," Torres said.

"I want to thank Miguel Cotto Promotions for having confidence in me and my ability by getting me a fight with a great boxer such as Fernando Torres. I'm sure I'll be victorious on Friday," Cotto said.
