By Miguel Rivera

The weights are now in for the big super featherweight clash on Saturday, which takes place at the Coliseo Olimpico de la UG in Guadalajara, Mexico. Juan Carlos Salgado (23-1, 16KOs) faces Argenis Mendez (18-1, 9KOs) for the vacant IBF title. A lot of heated words were exchanged between the fighters at the weigh-in. Salgao came in at the division limit of 130-pounds [58,967 kg], while Mendez was nearly three pounds under at 127.4-pounds [57,800 kg].
