| Photo: Vazquez Signs Contract To Face Ricky Burns
|
|
By Rick Reeno BoxingScene.com has been advised that there are no monetary issues with the lightweight unification between champions Ricky Burns (35-2, 10KOs) and Miguel Vazquez (33-3, 13KOs). The fight is scheduled to take place on March 16th at Wembley Arena in London. According to sources with direct knowledge of the situation, Vazquez's comments which are circulating around are several days old. Vazquez's promoter, Juan Carlos Torres of Zanfer Promotions, had sent a signed "letter of acceptance" to Frank Warren's matchmaker Dean Powell on January 10th, four days before the match was officially announced by Warren at a press event. On Tuesday, February 19th, Torres threw water on the circulating withdrawal rumors by sending over a confirming photo to Warren's side. In the photo, Vazquez is standing with trainer/co-manager Javiar Capetillo and the boxer is holding up a signed bout agreement to face Burns on the agreed upon date.

Props to Vasquez for traveling to the UK for the unification bout! I know Vasquez is physically well prepared if he has Javier Capetillo as his head trainer, his fighters always have great stamina enough for a 15 rd fight just like Margarito. F*** the haters Capetillo I'll be rooting for Vasquez ... |
They will out price them selves and refuse to come down any. Broner doesn't need either of these clowns anyway.
I doubt Titere would, he wants this fight with Broner Badly..hence him calling him out while Broner acts like he wants no part of "El Titere" by sayin... |

That piece of sh*t Javier Capetillo is involved? Ricky Burns better keep an eye out for any chicanery. And he better make sure to check Vasquez' wraps. |
