As BoxingScene.com reported on Sunday, junior welterweight contender Lucas Matthysse (34-2, 32KOs) was planning to spar with WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (30-0, 12KOs). The two fighters got together on Monday and Bradley says the sparring session was great.
Both boxers have very important fights coming up. Matthysse is going to face WBA/WBC champion Danny Garcia (26-0, 16KOs) on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, while Bradley will defend his title against Mexican superstar Juan Manuel Marquez (55-6-1, 40KOs) on October 12th at the Thomas & Mack Center, also in Las Vegas.
