Photo: Salido is Blasting Away at 'Big Pink' in Camp

Former two-time champion Orlando Salido (39-12-2, 27KOs) is training for the fight of his life at The Arena Osuna Boxing Gym in Ciudad Obregon, Mexico. In recognition of his upcoming opponent, Salido is training with pink gloves and using a pink heavy bag, which the team has nicknamed as 'Big Pink.' Salido will face Orlando Cruz (20-2-1, 10KOs), the first openly gay boxer, on October 12th at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The vacant WBO featherweight title will be at stake. The fight is positioned as the co-featured bout of the Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Timothy Bradley HBO Pay-Per-View.
