Argentinian fighters Lucas Matthysse (35-3, 33KOs) and Luis Carlos Abregu (36-1, 29KOs) held nothing back during sparring sessions to prepare for their upcoming fights. Lucas will have a difficult bout against WBC silver super lightweight champion Roberto "Masssa" Ortiz on September 6th , while Luis is fighting on November 22 in Macau against an opponent yet to be named.
The representative of Abregu, Pablo Martinez said: "They are having hard sparring sessions, and that's very useful for the fight that Carlos will have in Macau."
Both have been working for several days together in a gym in the town of Junin.
"My mind is totally concentrated on Ortiz and I'm not thinking about any other challenge. I must be fully focused on this match. Each challenge is different, but I always only concentrate on my current opponent. The rest will follow later," Lucas methodically explained.
