StubHub Center, Carson, California - Two-time Olympic gold medal winner Vasyl Lomachenko (2-1, 1KO) won a twelve round majority decision over previously undefeated Gary Russell Jr. (24-1, 14KOs) to capture the vacant WBO featherweight championship. The scores were 114-114, 116-112, 116-112.

I had Russell winning 4 rounds, and two of those rounds were mainly because Loma threw nothing. That hand speed really bothered him and he might have stamina issues. Loma is limited and being pushed a far too soon. I…

anyone who says she gave russel every close round no way. I scored this fight in a bias manner im a gary russel fan so every round i could possibly give him i did and i still had lemochenko winning…
