Trainer Virgil Hunter is becoming a busy man. Known for his success with WBA/WBC super middleweight champion Andre Ward, Hunter has quickly acquired a growing stable of boxers. In a highly publicized split, British superstar Amir Khan broke away from trainer Freddie Roach and soon after hired Hunter in his place. In the coming days, Khan will arrive at Hunter's gym in Hayward, Calif., outside of Oakland. Looking forward to seeing Angulo back in the ring. Wouldn't mind seeing him fight Molina, Kirkland, Bundrage, etc.
And Mayfield is someone to keep your eye on. He has solid all around skills and is fighting Herrera next. He could make some noise at 140. |
