According to the World Boxing Council, WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26KOs) weighed in at 148.2-pounds on April 4th, as part of the organization's 30-day weigh-in requirement. By this point, Mayweather is likely less than a pound away from the welterweight limit. As BoxingScene.com previously reported, mandatory challenger Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero (31-1-1, 18KOs) weighed in at 159-pounds when the WBC conducted their 30-day weight check. The fight takes place on May 4th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Showtime Pay-Per-View will carry the event.

Being at weight a month before the fight means you spend all your time sharpening your skills not trying to make weight. Also, Guerrero having to cut 15lbs in a month isn't good for anyone especially this magnitude of a fight. Like Lampley said fighting Mayweather is a hard dose of reality.

I think one year it was Saginaw, Flint and then Detroit. smh. Thats cool you got to see the fight live. What was the ticket prices? I think I wo...

I didn't want to appear to be a groupie, although I wanted to make the connection that we are months apart in age and I grew up 2 and a half hours away from him in Saginaw, MI. Als...
Makes you wonder what his real walk around weight is these days..I say closer to 165-170 if I had to put a number on it.
Mayweather looks the same all the time. Hes a small framed guy. If he put on 20 pounds it would be obvious.
Floyd is around the same size as a lot of these Jr WWs, hilarious how he was made to look like the bully after stopping Hatton. I said recently that this helps Mayweather's accuracy, as he doesn't need to adjust to a new weight when inside the ring, as he comes in weighing 2...
