Former three division world champion Miguel Cotto (38-4, 31KOs) started his training on Monday for his upcoming bout, on June 7 at Madison Square Garden in New York where he will be challenging the WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez (51-2-2, 28KOs). Cotto traveled last Saturday to Los Angeles to join his trainer, Freddie Roach, on Monday at the Wild Card Boxing Gym to began with their preparation.

Cotto shared some training time with Filipino star Manny Pacquiao, who is also trained by Roach. Pacquiao takes WBO welterweight  champion Tim Bradley at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in a rematch on April 12. Cotto will train this week in Los Angeles and travel with Pacquiao and his team to Las Vegas to watch Pacquiao’s fight and to continue training with Roach.

Cotto has a serious left hook to the body but he's gonna need to make his right hand great for a night...Maravilla will be throwing that straight left to the belly all night....some right handed medicine can cure that problem…
