Odyssey Arena, Belfast, Northern Ireland - Before a massive home crowd, IBF super bantamweight champion Carl Frampton (20-0, 14KOs) stopped mandatory challenger Chris Avalos (25-3, 19KOs) in the fifth round.
Frampton started slow in the first but picked up the pace in every round. In the fifth, he rocked Avalos with a combination and started unloading with accurate shots, over and over, until the referee Howard Foster had no choice - and jumped in to wave the fight off as Avalos was badly hurt and wobbling.
Afterwards, Frampton went side by side with domestic rival Scott Quigg, who holds the WBA's 'regular' world title in the weight division. Frampton vs. Quigg is one of the biggest fights in the UK boxing scene.
