Photo: Canelo is Honored By The President of Mexico

WBC/WBA junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs) was honored by the President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, in Los Pinos. On April 20th at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Canelo won a twelve round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Austin Trout (26-1, 14KOs) as 40,000 fans cheered him on. Canelo has stated that he plans to return on September 14th against an opponent to be determined.
