WBC/WBA 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs) took part in the World Boxing Council's 30 day pre-fight weigh-in. At his training camp in Big Bear, California - Canelo weighed in at 166.8-pounds. He had a max of 169. Only a month remains before Canelo faces Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The fight takes place at a catch-weight of 152-pounds, which leaves Canelo with around 15-pounds to go.

Canelo was actually lighter when entering April fight with Austin Trout. He was 166.5-pounds at the 30 day weigh-in for Trout. He came in at 153.5 at the final weigh-in.
