LAS VEGAS, NV - A deal is very close for Adrien Broner to defend his WBA welterweight championship against top challenger Marcos Maidana of Argentina. The two fighters were announced together, along with Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, as as the massive crowd of thousands at the MGM Grand was told the two boxers are likely to face each other at the very same venue on December 14th, on Showtime Pay-Per-View.

Good fights now becoming ppvs. There is no way this is ppv worthy, just like Pac/Rios is a non ppv worthy fight(especially with that undercard), and certainly JMM/Bradley is a WCB bout. At this rate there will be more ppv's…Comment by ThatDude44 on 09-14-2013
