Peterson: I'm Tired of Khan's Claims, Pacquiao Top Priority

WBA/IBF junior welterweight champion Lamont Peterson is tired of Amir Khan's protests. Khan has continued to question the validity of last month's twelve round split decision loss to Peterson.

Khan’s team have already appealed the result to the WBA and IBF, citing improprieties in judging and refereeing. They dispute the scores and referee Joe Cooper's officiating. Cooper deducted two points from Khan for excessive pushing. The IBF has scheduled a hearing date of January 18th

On Thursday, Khan took aim on his Twitter account with another angle - posting pictures and video of a man that Khan alleges was interfering with one of the ringside judges.

“I’m tired of it,” said Peterson to The Washington Post. “That’s his energy being wasted. I’m at the point where I’m like, ‘Forget it.’ I know the hearing’s coming up. Whatever they decide, they decide. I’m not going to sit and cry about anything. I’m happy with my performance. I believe I won the fight.”

Peterson is happy about his prospects. The boxer is one of the four options being presented to Manny Pacquiao for a possible bout in May or June.

“That’s the number one priority,” Lamont Peterson said. “You get into this sport to be the best in your weight class and eventually the best pound-for-pound. Pacquiao’s definitely one of the best pound-for-pound so I would love that challenge.”

:boxing:
Khan does not deserve a rematch.. If his appeal is overturned and gets his titles back than he wouldn't rematch Peterson.. So no matter what happens there should not be a rematch period..
P4P Floyd Mayweather Jr....UNDEFEATED!!!! ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT, GUYS...
Looks like Peterson is set to enjoy his hometown cooking with a little gravy on top for as long as he can... Pac fight is good $ fight for him, but will not be competitive
Peterson would win with ease. Then get the Marquez treatment.
