Peter Quillin Back in October or November in Barclays

By Mike Coppinger

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer advised BoxingScene.com that middleweight beltholder Peter Quillin (29-0, 21KOs) will return in October or November at Barclays Center.

Schaefer says he has narrowed Quillin's possible opponent down to two finalists, but wouldn't disclose their names in fear rival Top Rank would try to snatch one of the fighters up. BoxingScene.com's Mitch Abramson reported that Danny Jacobs is being discussed for a fall fight with "Kid Chocolate."

Quillin has fought only once this year, a seventh round knockout of Fernando Guerrero in which he dropped the latter four times. Quillin has scored a total of 10 knockdowns in his last two bouts.
