Peter Fury, uncle and trainer of undefeated contender Tyson Fury, stands with his nephew on the position that WBO/IBO/IBF/WBA champion Wladimir Klitschko withdrew from their scheduled fight in order to buy himself some more training time. They were set to face each other on October 24th in Dusseldorf, Germany. HBO and Sky Box Officei were going to broadcast the bout.

Tyson felt strongly that Klitschko was scared away by the wild antics at their recent press conference. The unified beltholder withdrew a few days later.

In a very unexpected move, Fury came racing to the media gathering while dressed in an oversized Batman costume. He proceeded to beat up someone dressed up as the comic book villain Joker.

Peter says the date of November 28th is being negotiated between both sides and the networks. If they can't reach a deal with all parties, the fight is going to take place in February.

"Personally, yes. I think Wladimir’s seen what Tyson is really about and he’s had an around the table speech with him for over an hour, where Tyson was predicting that he would pull out. This was going on for about and hour and I think the things that Tyson has to say to Wladimir, I think Wladimir’s probably gone back and said, 'Look, we need more time for this guy, he’s a very serious threat. I need to adjust on my sparring partners because I think he’s going to do things which I’ve not really accounted for," Peter told On The Ropes Boxing Radio .

"I think reading between the lines it’s probably more of this so that Wladimir can get better prepared and maybe adjust and look for a few different sparring partners to adjust. If I was a betting man, I would say it’s more of this."
